Co-president at Latina resigns amid more payroll problems

Latina Media Ventures co-President Robyn Moreno is resigning.The company, owned by Solera Capital, appears to be hitting a newround of financial turbulence.

「Though I am leaving my job, I am not abandoning my mission,」Moreno posted on Instagram. 「Thanks endlessly for all your supportand stay tuned for my next adventures!」

Meanwhile, the company missed payroll on March 30 — the secondtime it happened that month, one source said.

Freelancers have gone unpaid for even longer. One freelancer,who asked that her name not be used, said she is going to theNational Writers Union and urged other unpaid freelancers to followsuit.

LMV was taken over by Solera in the boom times of 2000 whenventure capital firms reportedly pumped in $20 million. But thatmoney appears to be long gone.

Solera did not return a call seeking comment by presstime.
